Fixing a recipe that imported wrong

Open the recipe, tap Edit, and fix whatever came in wrong — title, ingredients, steps, servings, times, photo, tags. See Editing a recipe.

Why imports aren't always perfect

ReciLore reads the recipe from the page's own data. Sites structure that data very differently, and some load it after the page appears or split it across tabs. When the structured data is incomplete, ReciLore falls back to the visible text, which can merge lines or drop a section.

Common fixes

• Ingredients merged or grouped wrong — open the ingredients editor to split, reorder, or regroup them.
• Steps run together — edit the steps and break them where needed; add step-group headings for "For the filling" style sections.
• No photo — add one in the editor.
• Wrong servings/times — set them in the recipe details.

Re-importing instead of editing

If the source page has since been fixed, you can re-run Web Import on it and choose Update — see Updating a recipe you already imported. Note this replaces the recipe's content, so any manual edits you made are overwritten.

Tell us about a bad site

If one site consistently imports badly, email support with the link.
